ABOUT ME

My name is Christian and I love creating authentic portraits. Trying to connect with my subjects and to catch the light of their soul makes me so passionate about this art.
My first contact with photography I had in Australia in the early 2000’s. I always was amazed by the beauty of the exotic landscape and wildlife in Australia and wanted to become a landscape and wildlife photographer working with National Geographic - still one of my biggest dreams.
A few years later, while teaching English in Mwanga, Singida - a remote village in the heart of Tanzania - my passion for photography grew even more. I noticed the epic face expressions of the people living there. Soon I realised it was the expression of their eyes and the stories that they told, that made me feel intrigued.
To me, an expressive portrait illuminates the personality and and will affect the viewer emotionally. The objective of Christian Glass Photography is to portrait the beauty of people and create images that are timelessly intriguing.
One of my biggest passion besides photography is travelling and exploring new countries and cultures, ideally combined with the opportunity to photograph wildlife that sadly struggles to survive. I want to raise awareness to this sadness and therefore support non-profit organisations that fight daily to ensure our beloved wildlife will not extinct. One day, I want to show my kids I don’t have yet, that it is worthwhile fighting for a good thing. My deepest empathy and gratitude goes to all that support wildlife and social projects around the world.
I believe everything is possible and that all starts with the decision to dare.
